Cheetah Mishaps

Hello friends, families, and pets of these wonderful volunteers. This is team leader Justin bringing you all the hottest and latest gossip from south africa! We have volunteers from all around the world representing, China, Australia, Canada, England, and the United States! Our first day has almost come to a wrap! We woke up bright and early to catch a ride to the cheetah rehabilitation center. Here we are able to be introduced to some of Africa’s most dangerous and endangered cats! We were even able to get up close and personal with adult cheetahs and even some of the cutest baby cheetahs on this earth!  We were introduced to the serval and caracal as welm. On our way to the game reserve we did have the unfortunate mishap of our safari vehicle breaking down but we are up and headed to Somkandah, a game reserve where we’ll learn to track, monitor and interact with all sorts of animals!  We will be very secluded from anywhere so updating this daily will be an enormous challenge until we leave but I will try my best! I’ll have plenty of pictures to post when I get back to st. Lucia and have wifi.

But the upside to camping here….. is how close we get sitting around around a fire under the most beautiful night sky with literally so many stars it’s almost impossible to spot one sing star. So next time …Peace
