Today was another incredible day here in the stunning communities of South Africa.
We got hard to work this morning at both crèches; making more bricks, transporting bricks, and since we are so far ahead in our work, beginning the work for a new water catchment for the new crèche! We have some great volunteers who are happy to work their hardest to make these communities the best place possible.
After a fun lunch, we headed back to town early to get ready for an eye-opening experience with a traditional Zulu community. At the community, everyone got the chance to meet a traditional Zulu healer/medicine woman, known as a Sangorma, dress in the local dress, see and learn about Zulu houses and villages, and even fight a Zulu warrior!
We had such an incredible time today working with our new friends (big and small) at the crèches, and can’t wait to go back for our last day of hard work tomorrow morning! It’s hard to believe the first week is almost finished already… So sad!
Here’s a few of the photos from what we did today, so check back tomorrow to discover what exciting things we’ll be up to next!
