Hot Weather Hump Day

Waking up after yesterdays hard work some of us were discovering muscles we hadn’t used in awhile. Turns out volunteering is not only good for the communities but our fitness as well!

Heading out to the creches we got stuck into the work straight away, eager to achieve the days goals.

Using yesterdays great work as a platform we were able to get into todays tasks of making a concrete foundation for the soup kitchen while the others built more concrete blocks for the building.

The kids were so excited to have all their new friends back at the creches to help out with lessons, playtime or any wheel barrow rides they needed.

Getting stuck into the hard work

Whenever the work or the sun is getting too tough the children at the creche are always able to brighten our days. This little guy wanted to help with the moving of the dirt so much that he brought his little spade down to help out.

We finally finished off the day with a Zulu Lesson from the lovely Nqobile, all receiving our very own Zulu name and learning basic phrases. A fantastic end to another fantastic day.
