Machetes are fun

Elephant sanctuary day 3 was of course a success. We had a bomb breakfast, PANCAKES THATS RIGHT PANCAKES! Then for our morning job we went with machetes in hand, and chopped down 100 pieces of sugar cane to feed the elephants (the volunteers may have had some as well, yum:p). Afterwards we brought it back…

The Last One

This is the last “Last night” in Cambodia and it’s spent in the city where we all started off. I cannot thank these volunteers enough for their hard work, positive attitude, and their overall incredible personalities. We have all bonded and became so close that it’s sad to see them go. This morning we packed…

Just gather around the Camp fire and sing the camp fire song

Last night at the sanctuary couldn’t have been better. To start the day off, we went into the jungle and tied blessed monk cloths around the trees to protect them. I’m Buddhism, it is against their beliefs to destroy anything that is protected by a blessed monk cloth. If they do chop down the protected…
