I seed what you did there!

Gahhh so many fun things today! First of all, it is Rachel’s birthday. We started off the day with some birthday lovin and gave her birthday wishes and presents and then we attacked her with some silly string! It was a great time. She was covered in multicolored string all day. 🙂IMG_2651IMG_2653IMG_2660

We did lots of good work today. One group worked on a fire break around the sanctuary, protecting the trees and plants against fires while the other group helped build the toilets for the military camp down the way. Then the afternoon work consisted of seeding/planting jackfruit and shoveling/picking up bags of rice husk. Of course, we also got to see our lovely lady elephants today too. Plus, many of them went to say hello to the monkeys as well! It was a lot of good work today! DSC06488DSC06489DSC06490DSC06498DSC06502

Tonight we did even more celebrating and had a really fun time getting to know each other and telling stories. You could probably hear us laughing together across the jungle. I would say yesterday was a big ol success with work and play.

Happy birthday to Rachel!! She would also like to send a shout out to her family saying thank you so much for the gifts they provided for her and for everyone :). You’re the best!! IMG_1120IMG_1072
