One last hurrah!

DSC05950 DSC05955Our last day and night together were such a success. I love these peeps so much! I wish we could’ve spent longer than a week together, but I am very grateful to have shared this time with everyone here. We sadly packed up our things this morning after feeding the elephants and saying our farewells. It was hard saying goodbye to the boys at the sanctuary, but luckily we all added each other on facebook so we can at least keep in touch now!

Then we moved out and made the short drive to the city. Upon our arrival, we had a bit of down time to grab some much needed grub and refreshments. The group wanted to see the completed house, so we went out for an hour to see what the group this week had done. The house was amazing, and it was so cool seeing the finished product of all the past and current groups’ hard work. It was also an fun filled reunion with the workers and fellow volunteers at the work site.IMG_2437 IMG_2434

Of course, we had to end off the night with something special, so we had a delicious dinner, karaoke and dancing. We danced our little hearts out and were on cloud nine. I can’t imagine a better send off to an incredible group of people. It was truly wonderful getting to know everyone and laughing together throughout this week. Even while we were working in the sun, the time went by so quickly because we were always joking around. Thanks for all the effort you put in and the fun we shared. I’ll never forget you, and I can’t wait to see you all soon!IMG_2455
