It was a very fun day today 😉
School day was amazing. We went to state school this morning to teach some English to students and having fun with them. When we arrived there, firstly our group divided to different groups for different classes. We had six classes (one classes is secondary school). Two people in a class and some was three people. Every classes they had different activities. The primary classes learnt about introducing themselves, English alphabets and numbers. Secondary class learnt about colors and animals. We had a really good time with kids. Kids are really cool and friendly. They seem really want to learn and enjoy with their classes. After class for an hour, teachers and students came out side classroom for playing games. We had different games. Some of us played “duck duck goose” and some played “Shimon says…..” and others. Every classes had different games.
When we finished teaching and gaming, we had a big group photos with students and every classes took some photos with their own class. It was so much fun with students. We had a great time with beautiful students with lovely smiling. We can’t forget this time ever. At 10.30am we took on truck back to our place and then we had lunch together.
In the afternoon, we had the same group members from yesterday. Group number one went to make a toilet at the village. We mixed cement for second layer of concrete.
Group number two went to other village collect rice husks to make compost for plants and vegetables and the sanctuary. We worked under a very hot sun. We shovels and rice bags in our hands. We used shovel to take rice husk was burnt into rice bag and tie them up. It was very dusty. We had a mush to covered our mouth and nose for protecting from dusty. After we put into all bags, we took them to a truck and bring them to the sanctuary.
When all two groups came back from village, we prepared elephant and feed elephant. In the evening after we finished dinner, we had an English class for rangers and kids who live around our place.
See you tomorrow!
