It’s always a sour feeling when you need to leave the jungle and today was no different. After breakfast we did our usual chores and cleaned out the ele shelter. At 9am we jumped on the trucks and tractors and drove to a different part of the forest where we blessed some trees by tying pieces of yellow ribbon on them, meaning they can never be cut down.
From there we headed back, packed our bags, said goodbye to everyone, including the animals, had a bite to eat and bussed back to Siem Reap.
Siem reap, the bustling city provided the goods as a way to ease back into reality and eat a nice restaurant meal before celebrating the night and saying goodbye to some new lifelong friends that are heading home today.
