That’s it folks!

What better way to end our time here in Cambodia then doing some karaoke! The bus ride from the sanctuary was short, but none of us had any issue taking a little nap. Once we got to the hotel, it was free time. Everybody hit the markets for some last minute shopping and souvenir buying. Then it was dinner time at one of my favorite restaurants. We all got something off the western menu that involved meat, since we’ve all been without it for the last week. Then we gathered around at my favorite karaoke joint for some serious sing along time. I have a few talented rappers among these volunteers! We danced the night away and made a lot of memories. It’s crazy to think that these guys were shy around each other just two weeks ago! Today, it’s like they’ve known each other a life time!

I just want to say how thankful I am to be ending my time here in Cambodia with such an awesome group of people. Each and everyone of the volunteers I have met here has made my experience all the more rewarding. You are all beautiful, determined human beings with big hearts! Thank you for choosing to spend your vacation making a difference! You are all so inspiring, and I cannot wait to go home and tell my friends and family about the amazing people I have met here!

Lastly, I want to say thank you to all those parents and friends who have followed the blogs (and especially those that commented along the way!). I hope you have enjoyed reading the blog as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you.

If you would like to continue to support the projects that Reach Out Volunteers runs, we would greatly appreciate any contribution to the Reach Out Volunteers Charity. 100% of all donations go to on-ground projects to continue to support these communities when volunteers aren’t around.

Thank you so much for your support and you will be seeing your loved ones soon, no doubt you’ll be hearing all their stories too!

Till next time Cambodia! Back to Canada I go!

xoxo
