Wednesday was the day we’ve all been waiting for… Time to dive!
In the morning the advanced crew went out to do their underwater navigation dive. maddi and Andi wowed instructor and this blogger by completing a square underwater with almost no visibility and a rather strong current. They started at the anchor and ended there 80 kicks later
The open water divers finished their written exams in the morning so that they could go for their first dive in the afternoon. Because the weather prevented us from diving yesterday Merinda, Angus, Doug, and Leanna went through as many skills as the could so that they could move on to the next level of training.
in the afternoon we also continued work on the water reservoir and cleaning up trash around the village.
At night after dinner we had our first English lesson with the kids. Around 20 kids showed up eager to learn. We started off reviewing colors and then moved onto clothing and conversation.
Tomorrow we will be continueing our work at the reservoir and completeing our dive certifications.
