Friday was last morning on the island. We said our good byes to the kids, dogs, chickens, and villagers as we made our way to the pier. The Supply boat that we use to get to and from the main land was actually on Time, a small miracle when your operating on island time!
It’s been a amazing 2 weeks in the island. In that time we managed to finished the foundation of the water reservoir and build a fair portion of its walls. We also managed to build part of the largest man made coral reef in Cambodia. We’ve made friends that we won’t soon forget and made a home away from home.
The bus ride to Phnom Penh was long but worth it. After arriving we spent our last night exploring the city; Visiting the night markets, getting $5 massages.
Now the volunteers will be off to their next adventure
I hope you have enjoyed following the blog as much as I have enjoyed this amazing group. We have all become so close that it will be so hard to leave each other… but we know, its not “goodbye” it’s “see you soon”.
If you want to continue to support the projects that Reach out Volunteers runs, we would greatly appreciate any contribution to the Reach Out volunteer Charity. 100% of all donations go into on-ground projects to continue to support these communities when volunteers aren’t around.

Thank you so much for your support and you will be seeing your loved ones soon and, no doubt hearing all the stories too.
