Arrival day for the latest group!

Yesterday was a huge day for everyone. All the volunteers trickled in from various origins—Canada, the U.S, and Australia, and experienced their first moments of Siem Reap. A mixture of excitement, anticipation, and happiness filled the air. It was so fun to finally meet the group that will become a tight knit family over the…

Final Day at the Village

Today was our last day working at the village site. The volunteers completed the majority of the brick walls and managed to get the dirt moved inside to be levelled out and make the floor. We had to make a line of people from the pond to the inside of the home to pour water…

Today was our third day at the village site! The team made so much progress today, from getting the brick walls stacked higher, piles of dirt brought into the house to later be levelled out for the flooring, mixing cement and of course getting some play-time with the kids. Andrew brought some balloons and taught…

Progress and Innovation!

Today was day two of the Cambodia Village program. Our volunteers have already successfully put the nine cement beams into place, and today we were ready to finish off some sanding, start mixing cement and laying bricks. We had to get creative with how to transport bricks from one pile to another, so the volunteers…

The Village House Underway!

Today we started off bright and early, with an orientation for the amazing team we have working on the family home we’re building. There was a lot of work to be done right from the get-go. From digging holes, carrying piles of sand, sanding down the wood and even transporting and lifting massive concrete pillars…
