Aussie day!!

Hey everyone, Rachel here taking over from Elaura today. Happy Australia Day to all of our Aussie loved ones reading this. Today was another great day working at a local community school, the library is really starting to take shape. Some of us were lucky enough to get to work with the local teachers and teach English to some of the students today which was a great experience. I taught the class I was working with ‘If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands’ and helped them with their spelling. We also worked on the foundations for the new school library. It’s exciting to see how far the project has come since the first day when it was just an empty plot of land! We also live streamed the Triple J hottest 100 in 40 degree heat – it felt just like Australia Day in Cambodia!

After working at the school we had an early dinner before heading to the Mad Monkey to celebrate Australia Day. It was especially exciting for our non-Australian volunteers who hadn’t celebrated Australia Day before!

Afterwards we headed to a Lady Boy show at the Night Markets and enjoyed a food massage during the show. This was a very unique experience and a lot of fun was had by all. We are all looking forward to working in the school again tomorrow though it will be a little bitter sweet since it is our last day there.download full movie Teleios 2017
