Yes, it’s that time of day, where you all get to catch up on our adventures and our daily activities. But before I go into what we did, I would like to take a moment and appreciate some of the people, things, and places we are thankful for! It’s my favorite holiday back in the States, Thanksgiving, and it’s a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for. Now, having the opportunity to work with such stellar volunteers who make me smile from ear to ear (even at 4 a.m.) is something that I appreciate! Being far from home on this special day was a bit hard, but I had the most loving and kind volunteers who made this American tradition one for the books!
Today was off to an early start, as we took upon one of the seven man made wonders of the world, Angkor Wat! It was jaw dropping to see the sunrise behind the glorious temple, with a perfect reflection in the water.
We then saw other unique temples, and one included the temple where Angelina Jolie, filmed “Tomb Raider”.
The next activity was a boat ride along the floating village of Tonle Sap. So many sing alongs to High School Musical, a broken boat, and many positive spirits to keep us floating (until the boat got fixed hehe). We went around the dinner table and shared what we were most thankful for, as it was a special moment that we won’t forget! This Fam Bam, is on top of the world, and we are all loving the view from the top!
Peace, Love, and Blessings,
