Angkor waaaaaaat

What up! Beth here taking over E dawgs almighty job of blog writer for the night.

Today we left at 4.30am with our eyes pretty closed but stomachs full of excitement to see the amazing Angkor Wat during sunrise, and it sure didn’t disappoint. We followed this up with banana pancakes and visited two other amazing temples for lots of history and photoshoot opportunities. Insta here we come!

At around noon we headed back to the main city for a lovely local lunch then we had some free time. For some this involved a visit to Tonle Sap to see the floating village and canoe through the mangroves. For others, a sunset ATV ride through the rice field was the perfect end to an action-packed day. The remainder of the group chose to take some well needed rest and explore Siem Reap and all it’s offerings.

We’ve just arrived back from a tasty local dinner and are all super excited to progress on with our project at the school tomorrow again (and of course to celebrate Australia Day)!
