Angkor Wat

What can be said about Angkor Wat that hasn’t already been written! Majestic, Grand, Incredible. I feel that at times words cannot do it justice!

We started the day early loading into our minibus ready to spend the day exploring, we were lucky to have fabulous weather and the very knowledgeable Mr Seng Ratha to guide us through Cambodia’s most famous attraction.

Beginning at the most famous of all Temples in the area we made our way through the enormous Angkor Wat temple built all the way back in the 12th Century

After spending the morning exploring the temples it was time for a well earned picnic lunch at the last sandstone temple to be built in Cambodia. After lunch we were lucky enough to receive a traditional Holy Water blessing from a Buddhist Nun.

We finished up the day at what has become one of the most famous temples in Cambodia, Ta Prohm. Known for its giant trees growing through all areas in and around the Temple and being the set location of Lara Croft Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie.

An absolutely amazing day in Cambodias most famous destination!
