Greetings mothers and fathers and others on earth.

Greetings mothers and fathers and others of earth,

My name is Natalie Cox and I am one of the volunteers on this trip! Today was our final day in the village. It was indeed a bittersweet symphony (shouts out to The Verve). We all pooled our money together yesterday and purchased two water filtration systems, two ceiling fans, and loads of school/essential supplies for the kids. We presented all of this as well as a cash donation to the principal of the school and we all balled like little babies. The kids then gave each one of us handmade cards/drawings and bracelets to show their appreciation for the work we did this week. We finished off the classroom by putting up the bamboo windows, doing some painting, and pouring the cement floor. Of course, this was all followed by our daily dance party. We are all very proud of the work we accomplished this week and are excited for the bright futures these kids have ahead of them. It wasn’t a goodbye, but a see you later. We finished off the eventful day with a trip to a traditional Cambodian carnival. This is my last night in Cambodia, and I can’t believe this week has completely flown by. It was definitely a week none of us will ever forget
Cheers,
Nat Cox
