Seventh inning stretch!

Hey everyone!

KidTea:
Hi guys,
Here is about Kidtea for the first day. It was not the same people from yesterday (four people still the same). We switched the group from the other school to Kidtea today. It was an awesome today. We divided to three different group in the morning. Group number one mixing cement and build the bricks up between every poles. Group number two use a wheel to take bricks from the front of the school to put on the work side. Group number three digging whole and put poles in the whole. Everyone did hard work to finish putting up poles to the old whole. After we worked very hard everyone had a bit water break and then we switched the group over.
It was a good lunch today. We had omelets and soup with vegetable and pork. It was yummy!
After the lunch break we backed to our work again. We spited to two different group this time. The firs group mix cement continuing their fence wall and some of them made the level between every poles. Other group starting dig new wholes for poles. Finally of the day we finished digging new wholes and put poles in the wholes and some of us go in to English class with students.
It will be awesome day tomorrow! 😉

BFOK:
We had a new group at BFOK today because 11 people switched between KidTea and BFOK. It was very productive! We got to work straight away in the morning and these girls- let me tell you- their building skills rival the Cambodians ;). We had a small group (with the help of Lili- Sophan’s daughter) continue to add soil to the foundation and level it off. We also added some structure for the front of the building so it could have a little shady overhang. Some girls finished painting the entire structure, while others showed off their monkey skills by climbing the scaffolding to nail the roof down (don’t worry, we always had some spotters there for them)! Four girls taught in the morning, then four others in the afternoon. It was really wonderful to walk around and see all the lessons they came up with, everything from sounding out each letter with the younger kids to “find the word” games with the older kids. At one point I heard the kids singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star at the tops of their lungs all the way from where we were building! Everyone had a lot of fun 🙂 A small group went to help the women in the community cook. We then a had a delicious lunch that was interrupted by another downpour. Everyone was pretty happy with this though considering the heat was getting pretty exhausting! By the end of the day all the bricks and concrete had been laid, the entire roof and all but one wall was up, and the pipes were in the ground ready to be connected! POWER TEAM!!!! On Friday we’ll finish up the wall/door, pour the concrete down for the floor and step, and put in the toilet! I am so incredibly proud of everyone today. They all worked really hard, and have the hammer blisters to prove it 🙂 To celebrate all of the volunteers’ hard work today and this entire week, we all went to get massages tonight and watch a Ladyboy show!!! Everyone was very excited for all of the Beyonce tributes! Some were even brought up on stage!!! Keep scrolling for pictures 🙂
